Job description

We have a new opportunity for a Paid Media Manager to THE Debenhams Group (Debenhams, Dorothy Perkins, Wallis, Burton, Oasis and Coast). Working closely with Head of Performance Marketing and wider performance team, your responsibilities will include supporting and delivering the paid media marketing activity with a focus on paid search and paid social whilst delivering the paid media marketing strategy to acquire new customers and maximise performance of the existing customer base utilising various tactics and supporting the Paid Media team with the delivery of campaigns.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead our Paid Media team – a team of Paid Search and Paid Social marketing specialists who manage activity across 6 brands
  • Own the Paid Media strategy, ensuring that we continue to evolve our proposition and remain at the forefront of Paid Media advertising
  • Own Paid Media results. Critically assess weekly results and regularly identify opportunities to optimize activity
  • Work with the Head of Performance Marketing and wider senior stakeholders to ensure that the Paid Media strategy is reflective of the latest business objectives
  • Be proactive. Spot opportunities and implement trials. Promote test and learn agendas across the team
  • Present strategies, results and opportunities to senior management
  • Own relationships with all key media owners and tech partners. Work closely with them to ensure that we follow best practice and receive maximum value
  • Own the tech stack within the Paid Media team, making recommendations on which partners we use in order to maximise our proposition and results
  • Drive best practice across the team, and across marketing channels
  • Work closely with the wider Performance Marketing team to ensure that strategies and plans are fully aligned across all marketing channels
  • Build strong relationships with other internal teams such as Business Intelligence, IT, Brand Marketing and Trading
  • Total responsibility for spend management and performance reporting of the Paid Media Team
  • Use competitor analysis and 3rd party data to benchmark our performance and influence our future strategy
  • Continue to develop a high performance team

More about you

  • Experience within Digital Marketing. Extensive knowledge of Paid Search. Paid Social and Display knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience using SA360 (or similar bidding platform)
  • Knowledge of paid social platforms inc. FB/IG/TT/Snap/Pinterest & YT
  • Demonstrable experience of managing others and developing a team
  • A strategic mind, capable of long-term planning and spotting opportunities
  • A ‘can do’ attitude
  • The ability to build strong, effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • A keen understanding of wider marketing channels and how they fit into the full consumer journey
  • Experience in presenting strategy and results to senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to draw insights from large data sets
  • A good technical understanding
  • Excellent knowledge of excel; comfortable in producing complex reports, formulas and pivot tables
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
