Packing Supervisor
Humdinger (Sun Valley), Bromborough
Shifts: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday - rotating shifts each week
Week 1: 06:00 - 14:00
Week 2: 14:00 - 22:00
Week 3: 22:00 - 06:00
Pay rate: £14.73 per hour (£29,954.53 equivalent)
We are hiring a Packing Supervisor here at Humdinger, Sun Valley in Bromborough.
The Packing Supervisor is responsible for delivering Safety, Quality and Operational Leadership for the shift. A working Supervisor who ensures all departmental KPIs are met through maintaining Standards, developing of people and delivering ongoing improvement through a working knowledge of Continuous Improvement tools & techniques.

Completing the production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, identifying priorities, monitoring progress, revising the schedule when necessary, resolving issues and accurately reporting results.
Optimising the use of machines and staffing levels to ensure the production department runs as efficiently and effectively as possible. Meeting Standards & throughput targets
Maintain workflow by monitoring steps of the process, observing control points and equipment, observing personnel and resources, analysing working methods, implementing cost reductions and developing reporting procedures and systems, and facilitating corrections to malfunctions.
Analyse product and packaging waste and propose and implement measures to reduce wastage levels.
Ensure all products are produced to customer specifications within agreed company HACCP and & BRC systems.
Be the Super User on QAD for the Packing team, to ensure all WOs are completed correctly
Ensure effective communication with the production team on all key issues.
Manage HR issues including staff absence levels and timekeeping and disciplinary/grievance issues in line with current policies and procedures.
Proactively ensure materials are delivered to production lines on time.
Oversee employee training sessions; ensuring training records remain up to date.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment and resources and establishing policies and procedures.
Provide a smooth handover ensuring any outstanding issues are communicated.
Possesses strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills.
Must work well within a team.
Must be able to provide clear instructions to employees.
Displays efficient and strong time management skills.
At least two years of management or supervisory experience in a BRC-accredited food production environment (Desirable)
Competent in Microsoft Office in particular Excel.
Formal training or good working knowledge of CI tools/techniques
