Job description
As a Packing Operative, you will pack products linked to customer-orders. You will have responsibility of packing finished goods in order to meet customers’ requirements and quality standards, ensuring the right product and quantity is packed in a meticulous condition and appearance. Additionally, you will support in the warehouse with inventories and general housekeeping.

British Engines Group Company, CMP Products, is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of cable glands, cable cleats and cable accessories. CMP manufactures its products from three facilities based in Cramlington, Northumberland, and has a global distribution network, supported by ten offices spread across six continents from Houston, USA, to Busan in South Korea.
What you’ll be doing
- Packing finished product in accordance with given packaging procedures
- Ensuring the high quality packaging of finished goods
- Operating, disassemble, assemble packaging and related equipment
- Preparing documents and labels for the shipment to be dispatched
- Ensuring the packed products are delivered with good quality and are free of defects
- Maintaining a clean and well-ordered work area and assisting in maintaining the security of the warehouse
- Picking orders as necessary, shrink wrap products to pallets and loading delivery vehicles
- Maintaining good communication with the team and other departments
- Ensuring all orders are tracked, packaged, and shipped with barcode scanners in order to ensure inventory is accurately recorded
- Working in a safe manner; driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regard to the company’s health, safety and environmental policies
- Carrying out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected
Who we are looking for
To apply, you must have experience of working in a fast paced environment with previous warehouse experience.
We ask that you are self-motivated with excellent communication, organisation and IT skills.
This position will be on a full time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week. Working hours are a weekly rotation of 6am to 2pm then 2pm to 10pm.
