Job description

As a Packing Operative, you will pack products linked to customer-orders. You will have responsibility of packing finished goods in order to meet customers’ requirements and quality standards, ensuring the right product and quantity is packed in a meticulous condition and appearance. Additionally, you will support in the warehouse with inventories and general housekeeping.

CMP manufactures its products from three facilities based in Cramlington, Northumberland, and has a global distribution network, supported by ten offices spread across six continents from Houston, USA, to Busan in South Korea.

What you’ll be doing

Packing finished product in accordance with given packaging procedures
Ensuring the high quality packaging of finished goods
Operating, disassemble, assemble packaging and related equipment
Preparing documents and labels for the shipment to be dispatched
Ensuring the packed products are delivered with good quality and are free of defects
Maintaining a clean and well-ordered work area and assisting in maintaining the security of the warehouse
Picking orders as necessary, shrink wrap products to pallets and loading delivery vehicles
Maintaining good communication with the team and other departments
Ensuring all orders are tracked, packaged, and shipped with barcode scanners in order to ensure inventory is accurately recorded
Working in a safe manner; driving positive behaviour and leading by example with regard to the company’s health, safety and environmental policies
Carrying out any other duties not listed above as may reasonably be expected

Who we are looking for

To apply, you must have experience of working in a fast paced environment with previous warehouse experience.

We ask that you are self-motivated with excellent communication, organisation and IT skills.

This position will be on a full time, permanent basis working 37.5 hours per week. Working hours are a weekly rotation of 6am to 2pm then 2pm to 10pm.
