The Bury Black Pudding Company are the only Black Pudding producer actually based in Bury. We are currently recruiting for Packing & Boxing Operatives.The Company objective is to become the world’s leading brand in Black Pudding and one of the truly great UK food companies. Anyone looking to join our organisation should be motivated, ambitious and driven by achieving the highest standards.We work in cold temperatures to ensure the freshness of our products but we provide all PPE and make it a comfortable environment to work in.We produce various black pudding products, including frozen products, so there is lots of variety in tasks across the packing and boxing rooms. You will work as part of a team on a processing line where you will slice, pack and pallatise our products.This role is an entry-level position within the business and you do not require any experience and full training will be provided.Main ResponsibilitiesWorking in either the Packing or Boxing rooms ensuring the product is packaged correctly and to standard for the end user.Work in a competent manner and demonstrate safe working knowledge of equipment, machinery and processesUnderstand and work to our HACCP programme, accurately recording checks and results on relevant paperwork throughout the day.Work to product quality standards and implement necessary corrective action on that which does not meet Company, customer or legal requirementsKeep work area clean and tidy. We operate a 'clean as you go' policy.Carry out cleaning at the end of your shift to required specifications and schedulesGood standards of personal hygieneWork with a flexible approach to customer and Company requirementsAwareness of and adherence to appropriate Health & Safety and Food Safety regulationsImplement changes to procedures as instructedOffer constructive suggestions to the improvement of the your role or department.Key Skills & ExperienceRelevant manufacturing experience, food industry experience would be an advantageExcellent attendance and timekeepingAbility to follow work instructions and standard operating proceduresBehaviours consistent with Company values - 'Lead with Quality, People are a Priority and Celebrate Success'Work well and communicate as part of a teamFlexible and ‘can do’ attitudeHours of work – 38 per week, 4 days per week, Monday to Saturday.
