We are now seeking enthusiastic and self-driven candidates to join our hardworking team permanently.
We are looking for someone with a positive can-do attitude that can work to deadlines and help us meet dispatch deadlines. You will assist with packing items such as glassware, photo frames and other various gifts that we stock. You will also be expected to assist with deliveries and stock replenishment in a fast-paced working environment.
Within the job role, you will also be trained to help in other areas of the business such as learning the engraving process so that you can cover holidays and sickness if necessary.
Our ideal candidate will be able to adapt to a busy environment and be able to assist elsewhere in the workshop when needed. Packing or warehouse experience would be advantageous but full training will be provided.
We are looking for someone who can take initiative on their own but is also able to work in a team so good communication is required to ensure orders and deliveries are handled carefully and efficiently.
Job Requirements
- Safely pack various fragile items to withstand handling and delivery.
- Be able to work in a fast past environment, packing up to 200+ items a day.
- Able to work well under pressure to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Applicants must be physically fit for manual work, candidates will be on their feet for the full shift.
- A good level of spoken and written English is essential.
- A keen eye for detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be able to use your initiative and follow instructions.
- Daily housekeeping duties to ensure your area is clean and tidy.
- Be able to follow all health and safety practices.
Working Hours:
Standard: Monday - Friday 8 am - 4:30 pm
Christmas Period: Monday - Friday 7:30 am - 5 pm + Overtime on Saturday and/or Sunday
Weekend work paid at a great overtime rate
Due to the nature of our business, additional hours will be required during busy periods such as Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas. Over the Christmas period, all staff are required to work a 6-day working week to ensure we can keep up with demand. All overtime is paid at a competitive rate.
The ideal candidate will be available for an immediate start.
