The main purpose of the role
· Supporting the Packaging Manager to ensure that the businesses packaging requirements are met.
· Monitoring packaging stocks, ensuring that stock on site doesn’t drop below minimum levels. Instructing stock makes with suppliers to ensure stock is ready for call off while working to lead times & not exceeding maximum stock hold.
· Raising purchase orders, sending to the supplier & following through to receipt. Updating system & communicating issues to relevant departments.
· Monitoring new line forms, ensuring that new products are set up within the packaging system and that packaging updates are communicated to the business.
· Communicating next day’s packaging requirements to production.
· To deputize the Packaging Manager and cover their responsibilities in their absence.
· To cover the Packaging Stock Coordinator in their absence, physical stock check & decanting deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor & Order all packaging stock levels incl. small consumables – investigating stock discrepancies, maintaining balance between ability to produce / being below target stock levels
- Monitor supplier order confirmations
- Placing call off orders and print runs
- Investigating delays to orders – monitoring outstanding orders to ensure on time. Reviewing lead times
- Investigate stock issues from production
- Investigate and Report Non-conformances to supplier – follow through Raising complaints through F.C, liaise with supplier collection and credit
- Communicating upcoming Packaging updates
- Generate Stock level reports
- Issue daily packaging drop sheet
Personal Specification

· Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel. Use of intermediate formulas (Vlookup, Sumif, Pivot tables etc)

· Help mentor new employees within the department area where applicable.
· Awareness of the products we supply.

Job Type: Full-time
