Packaging Operator
Job description
We are looking for a hardworking candidate to employ in our packaging area of the business.
The role mainly involves the following:
Inspecting Glass products and preparing them for dispatch
Moving of glass - this can include heavy lifting and makes the role a physically demanding job
Making wooden containers to transport the glass products through the use of various wood working tools and machinery (Wall Saws, Drop Saws, Power Drills, etc). The role will also include operation of an automated cardboard box making machine, so a good level of IT literacy is important.
Working hours are 7am to 4.30pm with an hour lunch break between 12 and 1pm - Monday to Friday
Every 5th Saturday (excluding the Christmas / New Years shutdown) a maintenance weekend is also required, effectively this is a Saturday morning where all of the factory staff come in to service the equipment, however this is not a timed shift, as soon as everything is complete, the shift is over.
