About the role

Interested in the development of Fashion and Homeware packaging? We're looking for a Packaging Assistant to join our Sourcing and Packaging team to ensure that business packaging requirements are delivered on time and within budget.

You'll be working in a team who thrives off of innovation and will push you to be your best, giving you the autonomy to really make the role your own and make a big impact on how Matalan works.

As a Packaging Assistant, you'll be responsible for:

  • Managing the end to end sampling and costing process as well as any day to day issues, communicating any sample approvals/rejections to relevant print partners.
  • Developing and maintaining excellent relationships with key stakeholders, attending regular briefings and development meetings.
  • Effectively manage workload and timescales.
  • Ensuring that all product meets up to date Matalan Packaging Guidelines and is readily available to Matalan Suppliers
  • Liaising with nominated print partners, to review and manage stock, ongoing developments in order to align with the critical path.
  • Working closely with wider trading teams, as well as external suppliers to understand packaging requirements and end to end processes.

About You
