About the Trust
Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) is a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK. They became a Foundation Trust on 1 October 2015 and believe that this will enable them to work more effectively in partnership with their patients and their local community to provide high quality healthcare.
They provide a wide range of clinical services, specialist services (including cardiac, cancer, musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation) medical education, training, and research.
What you’ll be responsible for:
· To be the first contact for queries relating to pay and changes to terms and conditions of employment for staff within the Trust.
· To maintain the HR record side of the ESR (Electronic Staff Record) ensuring accurate and timely payment of staff.
· To liaise with the third-party payroll provider to ensure that Trust policies and processes relating to pay are adhered to.
· Advise on all terms and conditions of employment with regard to recruitment, ensuring that the procedures are carried out efficiently within the allotted timeframe.
· To maintain data quality and participate in regular monitoring of quality in ESR
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
· Previous admin experience
· NHS System Knowledge- ESR
· Previous HR experience
Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.
