Brew York – Packaging Assistant

We have an opportunity for someone who is passionate about good beer to join our team. You must be fit and capable of heavy lifting, self-motivated and above all friendly and reliable. A cheerful personality and good customer service will be key to this role.  The role will be varied dependent on business needs.

Duties include:

• Assisting and running our Codi Counterpressure Canning Line
• Cleaning Kegs and Casks
• Quality assurance of packaged products, ensuring product is packaged efficiently and to specification
• Carbonating Beer
• Assisting with Cellaring duties where needed (Fermentation readings, Dry Hopping)
• CIP’ing equipment, and vessels.
• Logging packaging records onto Brewery software (Breww)
• Building pallets
• Assisting with stock takes
• Moving stock around in warehouse and between sites
• General Housekeeping tasks
• Keep warehouse and packaging facilities tidy and organised at all times
• Follow Health and safety requirements in all aspects of the role including lifting heavy goods, moving goods and company vehicle checks to ensure that yourself and your colleagues are safe at all times

Key requirements for this role:

• Experience in customer service and ability to interact with people on all levels
• Good common sense and the ability to demonstrate resourcefulness.
• Flexibility is essential in this role as there is a requirement to work additional hours as and when the business requires.
• Experience of working on a canning line (desired)
• Experience of operating a forklift (desired)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £19,760.00-£21,673.60 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• York, YO19 5UP: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
