Job description
As a Packager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the efficient and accurate packaging of products for shipment or distribution. You will work as part of a team in a warehouse or production facility, following established packaging guidelines and quality standards. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will contribute to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging Operations: Perform packaging duties according to established procedures, which may include sorting, labeling, assembling, and sealing packages. Package products efficiently and accurately to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect packaging materials and finished products for defects, ensuring they meet predetermined quality criteria. Report any deviations or issues to supervisors for resolution. Maintain a clean and organized work area to prevent cross-contamination and uphold hygiene standards.
- Equipment and Machinery: Operate packaging machinery and equipment, such as sealers, labeling machines, and conveyor belts, in a safe and efficient manner. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and minor repairs, to ensure optimal performance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and replenish packaging supplies as needed to avoid disruptions in production. Collaborate with the inventory control team to maintain accurate records of packaging materials and report any discrepancies or shortages.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, such as production workers, quality control personnel, and warehouse staff, to coordinate packaging activities and meet production goals. Communicate effectively to ensure smooth workflow and efficient packaging operations.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while performing packaging tasks. Identify and report any potential safety hazards or incidents promptly. Follow company policies and procedures, including those related to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and suggest improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality in the packaging department. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide input on packaging-related matters.

Part-time hours: 40 per week
Salary: £13.50-£16.00 per hour
