An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2 Personal Assistants based at our Headquarters in Birkenshaw.
We are one of the country’s leading fire and rescue services, rated as good by Her Majesty’s Inspectorate. Joining us, you will have the job satisfaction of knowing each day that you are contributing to the success of one of just six metropolitan fire and rescue services in the UK, supporting over 950 firefighters who work round the clock to help people and save lives.
Are you proactive, highly organised, with good communication skills, and able to work collaboratively as a key member of the Executive Support Team to provide a comprehensive, effective, and efficient support service?
As an experienced Personal Assistant you will have excellent time management and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work without direct supervision, in a changeable environment.
You will be self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure, work well in a team, and take responsibility for all areas of administrative support, including attending and taking accurate minutes of meetings, arranging travel and hotel requirements, itineraries for conferences and support the coordination of events.
You will develop good working relationships with your team, key staff and partners within external organisations, including the other emergency services, Government ministers, Members of Parliament, civic dignitaries, and elected members.
You will be numerate and literate, have excellent keyboard and typing skills and have excellent knowledge and application of MS Office and IT Skills. Audio skills and a qualification in minute taking would be an advantage.
