Morrison Water Services are recruiting for a P6 Planner to work on our HS2 multi utilities diversion contract either from our Coleshill Office in the West Midlands.

As an experienced P6 Planner you will be part of our pro-active Project Team who are responsible for planning, coordination, and construction of multi-utility diversions to facilitate the construction of HS2.

HS2 is a state-of-the-art, high-speed line critical for the UK’s low-carbon transport future. It will provide much needed rail capacity across the country and is integral to rail projects in the North and Midlands. This all helps to re-balance the UK economy. Our works are performed on behalf of Tier 1 Joint Venture organisations across the prestigious HS2 Phase 1 project from London to Birmingham.

As the P6 Planner will be responsible for creating programmes of all the work needed on each project and direct activities. You will prepare take-off and budgets in collaboration with Project Estimator. You will develop preconstruction schedules and monitor progress. You will assist in the compilation of pricing clarifications for inclusion with tender submission. You will plan activities to go in line with the tender and contract requirements. You will prepare and maintain cost / resource loaded schedules in P6.

You will be responsible for analysing ongoing progress and performance (CL31 and CL32), assessing this against contractual and internal targets - determining variance and its respective causes. You will liaise with management and engineers to review the progress of construction projects and address any issues. You will report and carry out earned value analysis. You will prepare reports and recommending actions to maintain and or improve progress.
Do you have P6 experience? This is essential
Do you have previous experience of NEC Contract requirements?
Are you experienced in Construction and/or Utilities?
Are you an effective presenter and communicator?
