An exciting opportunity has arisen to develop a new, community oxygen service in the South Manchester catchment.

If you have experience in the development of services and the prescription of home oxygen therapy this could be the job for you.

To lead, manage and develop a community oxygen service for patients in South Manchester.

To work collaboratively across the Northwest regional oxygen group representing the service as part of MFT and contribute to service development relating to oxygen service provision across WTWA and Trafford General Hospital.

To provide evidence based specialised oxygen assessment of the patient’s suitability for home and ambulatory oxygen therapy. To be responsible for, complete and act on home oxygen safety checks. To monitor patient compliance and use of their oxygen therapy. To work within the local and national oxygen guidelines. To collect suitable data on the work completed and to present this information to all levels of the trust.

The post holder will also be responsible for the accuracy and quality of the test procedures and writing reports based on these procedures.

To work collaboratively with the community respiratory team including in clinics, pulmonary rehab assessments and classes under the Community respiratory team support.
