Gower College Swansea is one of the largest colleges in Wales with a strong reputation for high quality teaching and learning. We have six campuses across the city with over 4,500 full time learners and 10,000 part time learners. We currently have a turnover of over £50 million making us a major employer in the region with approximately 1,000 staff.

The role:
- 37 hours per week
- Fixed-term for 24 months
- £53,569 per annum
- Swansea (Gorseinon Campus)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to lead on provision to support the high achieving learners within college, and across the county, to achieve their full academic potential. The role is two-fold:
- Lead on the coordination of the college’s internal academic enrichment programme, GCS Honours, including delivery of the college’s Oxbridge Preparation Programme
- Lead the Swansea Seren Academy and Foundation programme as Swansea Seren Hub Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- To lead the college’s existing academic enrichment programme and university preparation pathways (inc. Oxbridge Preparation Programme) to enhance both the success, and the reputation, of high achieving academic learners.
- Be responsible for the Swansea Seren Academy and Foundation programme as regional Hub Coordinator for the Welsh Government’s Seren Network
- Liaise with all schools within the region, and additional external stakeholders, to provide opportunities to support the aspirations and ambitions of some of the most talented and able learners
About you:
- Degree Qualification from Russell Group University
- Experience of leading teams and delivering student enrichment opportunities
- Knowledge of Seren and application processes to leading UK and international higher education institutions
