Job description

Main duties of the job

As a representative of the department to behave in a manner that is professional, positive and polite and confidential. To maintain high standards and orderly methods of working. To be accountable for his/her own actions. The post holder is expected to make him/herself aware of the needs of the dispensary section as a whole and to take the initiative in responding to such needs. To direct or accompany visitors to the department to the correct areas within the department.
To follow the company dress code. To participate in the weekday, late duty, weekend and bank holiday service rosters at the Royal Free London Pharmacy sites as required. To undertake other relevant duties as assigned by the Pharmacy manager or head of department.

  • NVQ Level 2 Qualifications in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent or working towards

Experience

  • Current community or hospital pharmacy experience
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of working in a hospital pharmacy
  • Experience of using Prescription tracker systems
  • Experience of working in an automated dispensary environment

Aptitudes

Essential criteria
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Strong communication skills – must be able to recognise
