Position:

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Logistics Coordinator to join a successful, entrepreneurial company with offices globally. We work with a diverse portfolio of retailers and supply bespoke products within various categories, including Reusable Bags, Health & Beauty, Household products and Impulse Snacking.


Purpose of the role


To support with the fulfilment and execution within the Logistics function, with a focus on domestic orders for dispatch from warehouse, and control of the efficient, effective forward and reverse flow of goods, services and related information between the warehouse and the point of consumption in order to meet customer requirements.


Scope & Relationships


This role reports directly to the Head of Logistics and is supported by the wider supply chain team, customer demand and commercial colleagues.

It will support the management and operational requirements of the groups warehouse partners, hauliers and customer DC’s along with all related processes within the logistics function.


You will actively encourage and act as a mentor for all warehouse and haulage partners across lean implementation, continuous Improvement and Six Sigma project implementation/completion by reviewing supply chain activity data to ensure world class performance.

Work closely with the Head of Logistics and wider Supply Chain teams globally to ensure focus is assigned correctly to both internal and external customer demands.


Main Responsibilities



  • Co-ordinate all outbound flow of goods from warehouses
  • Gatekeeper for all outbound materials from the warehouse(s) ensuring all orders processed and systems maintained
  • Maintain data within dispatch schedule and weekly OTIF reporting
  • Ensure SAP system updated with orders processed, SAP orders delivered/closed off
  • Work with wider supply chain team and customers to proactively ensure goods ready for order are received to fulfil in line with expectations.
  • Striving towards best in class operation, working with warehouse and haulers to continually improve delivery processes with a right first time mentality
  • Daily communication with warehouse network to co-ordinate distribution plans
  • Review order plans to maximise truck utilisation, identify and execute consolidation opportunities
  • Own dispatch process from warehouse door to customer DC, making sure proof of delivery received and checked
  • Ensure all outbound orders passed to relevant warehouse teams directly
  • Track and report on final mile delivery costs from warehouse to customer door
  • Obtain delivery quotes as required and Invoice checking to ensure accurate versus expected costs
  • Prioritise operations and daily tasks as required in regard to business demand
  • Support development of logistics processes, process mapping and work instructions in line with company strategic objectives with regards to environment, quality, customer satisfaction, cost and efficiency
  • Develop partner relationships and establish your own key network of contacts with our partners
  • Promote an attitude of innovation, pace and intrinsic positivity
  • Actively seek to improve skills and logistics knowledge base, via training, site visits and knowledge sharing


Requirements:

  • Proven logistics experience
  • Has dealt with multiple warehouse and customer
  • SAP or ERP skills across supply chain functions
  • Understand supply chain connectivity with all departments
  • Understand complete end to end flow of sales, from purchase to dispatch aligned to OTIF
  • Has worked in a fast-paced operations environment
  • Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritise
  • Up to date with all legislation regarding road, air and sea transport operations
  • FMCG experience advantageous
