Multi-Skilled Stores / Despatch Operative

Here at G&H Ilminster we research, develop and engineer optical elements used in aerospace and defence applications. We have vacancies in our Stores department for a Multi-Skilled Operative who will be responsible for organising, receiving, storing and despatch of materials within the factory and out to our customers. Main responsibilities include;

• Goods in – Inspection, adding to our system (Syspro)
• Kitting – Picking parts, documenting any variances
• Cycle Count – Completing weekly process
• Despatch – Physically packing goods, completing paperwork
• Material Storage and Handling – Use and maintain MHE
• Import / Export – Verify records on shipments, coordinate with suppliers, create invoices

Ideal candidates will have the following;

• Experience of working in a similar role
• Good practical skills with a high level of manual dexterity
• Good computer skills, high levels of attention to detail and accuracy
• Experience of using an MRP system (Desirable, not essential)
