Description
We are looking for outstanding and ambitious individuals to join our origin operations function. In this role, you will be an expert in executing the end-to-end movement of shipments within a regional network including Ocean or Air and LCL imports and exports.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience within the freight forwarding industry, looking for a new challenge with which to accelerate their career. We are a fast-growing business and this role provides an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to support Zencargo’s rapid and continued growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute booking and documentation processes with clients /carriers
- Working collaboratively with our partners and suppliers to effectively manage our customers’ shipments at origin
- Ensuring that shipments move on time and that all exceptions are handled smoothly. You will have SLAs and KPIs to meet on a daily basis.
- Ensure the smooth execution of all international import and export activities within Asia
- Lead on new business implementation and SOP development
- Work closely with our teams around the world to deliver effective customer service and find solutions to customer problems
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- BA / BS degree
- A minimum of 2 years working in a top freight forwarding company in operational role within Asia
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and able to work to tight deadlines
- A customer-focused approach to solving problems
- A desire and motivation to build something innovative and disruptive
- Happy to get into the weeds - we are a fast growing start-up and everyone has to pull together to deliver our vision
- Willingness to travel when required
- Experience of working in a start-up or SME is desirable, although not essential
