You will advise, lead and execute complex transformation programs such as restructures, M&A, divestments, TUPEs and other organisational change activities.

This will primarily include responsibility for ensuring that our approach and practices are compliant with employment legislation, specifically TUPE Regs and redundancy legislation.

You will also be a trusted expert to HR and business/other stakeholders on all aspects of complex advisory and case management, recognised as a true subject matter expert.

This will primarily include managing the end-to-end case management of disciplinaries, grievances and investigations, to act as the ER representative at meetings, to produce and/or review high quality reports and to prepare documentation.

High level role scope

  • Work collaboratively with the ER co-Heads of Organisational Change to support the firm’s strategy, principles, and approach to change programs.
  • Be a trusted expert and work collaboratively with our People and Operational Effectiveness team, service line HR colleagues and business stakeholders
  • Embed and maintain a culture of trusted ER transformation expertise to enable the firm to meet its strategic objectives, aligned to our purpose and values
  • Enhance critical commercial outcomes by proactively identifying challenges and opportunities in all areas in scope of any transformation, including any non-impacted areas

Detailed role scope

  • Create proposals based on the needs of our stakeholders to help them effectively shape and deliver organisational change
  • Identify potential risks and challenges to change and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns
  • Ensure the HR project plan supports the business implementation plans and coordinate and deliver against these. This includes leading on the HR due diligence stage and the consultation process
  • Provide specialist advice to the business and lead on transformation programs working closely together with other transformation team members
  • Drive best in class organisational change methodologies, balancing both business needs, legal requirements, and employee experience
  • Develop and maintain appropriate transformation templates and toolkits for use in transformation programs, including tailoring them and advising relevant stakeholders on bespoke content as required
  • Monitor and evaluate success of transformation programs
  • Work effectively within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution; and demonstrate a willingness to support and cover for other team members as required to provide a seamless service to the business
  • Attendance and participation at formal meetings, drafting correspondence, and providing solutions based on current legislation, best practice and in line with business needs by driving a consistent application of our policies and processes
  • Support the end-to-end process for high level/sensitive terminations/exits, including drafting settlement agreements and liaising with external lawyers
  • Work with our HR colleagues to ensure recommendations and learnings from specific cases are communicated, implemented, and monitored as appropriate

  • Experience in all types of business transformation programs including restructures, M&A, divestments, TUPEs and other organisational change
  • Proven experience in creating recommendations and solutions on approaches to organisational change and effective delivery of change, through project management methodologies
  • Thorough understanding of ER policy and processes, best practice, up to date employment law knowledge and potential risks associated with transformation programs
  • Experience working successfully with employee representatives, including recognised trade unions, and senior stakeholder groups as part of any consultation process
  • Strong consultative skills including project scoping, insight gathering, problem solving, strategy development, influencing, intervention planning and good written and verbal communications
  • Experience of end-to-end case management
