Organic Vegetable Farm Worker (Flexible Hours) Farrington Gurney, England
Job description
Farrington’s Farm is based on an idyllic 400-acre working farm in the Somerset village of Farrington Gurney, just a short drive from Bristol and Bath. Located on the main site is a farm shop, cafe, playbarn, chip shop and farm park.
We have over 70 acres of our farmland certified organic. We grow organic vegetables, salads and potatoes which we supply to our farm shop and cafe, as well as wholesale customers.
We are currently seeking dedicated and hard-working individuals to join our English and European team to assist in all aspects of farm operations, including planting, weeding, and harvesting crops.
The hours can be flexible to suit the person, either full-time or part-time. This could be a permanent person for the right person. The work involves mainly outdoor, manual work in a variety of weather conditions, with some indoor packing included. No formal qualifications are required, but a practical work background would be an advantage.
Requirements:
- Previous experience farming / labouring is preferred
- Physical fitness and ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, self-motivation and ability to work independently
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new methods and techniques
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be able to commute to Farrington Gurney, BS39
