Job Title: Order Picker
Department: Operations
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Roles reporting to this role: N/A
Principle Purpose of Position:
As an Order Picker you will be responsible for receiving, processing, picking, packing and despatching/loading stock to be delivered to our customers and contractors in a timely manner. You will also keep products separated, organized and monitor product quality frequently, reporting problems to mitigate safety issues.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Picking and packing items in the warehouse, ready for dispatch
- Loading/unloading vehicles and containers
- Counting, checking goods in
- Supporting stock counts
- General housekeeping
- All other warehouse duties as required
Skills:
- Basic maths, reading, and writing skills
- Basic computer skills
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to comply with all safety guidelines at all times
- Physically capable of manual labour that includes lifting, bending, and reaching
- Able to lift 25kg on a regular basis
- Able to work 8.5 hour shifts standing
- Reliable and punctual
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team
Qualifications:
- Forklift truck licence preferred but not essential
Experience:
- Proven experience working in a production environment preferred but not essential
