The role
We are currently looking for a Test Analyst to join ITV’s Oracle Test and Release team. The role will entail but not be limited to:
- Support the Platform Optimisation Lead (Test and Release Manager) with organising test management best practice across multiple platforms and business areas
- Support the Platform Optimisation Lead (Test and Release Manager) with producing the BAU test and release strategyExperience in test management delivery through the Software Testing Life Cycle (supporting System Integration Testing (SIT), Systems Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Support quarterly ERP, HCM releases and monthly EPM testing
- Analyse detailed test results and assess business impact of the defects raised to help assess prioritisation
- Supporting and assisting the business with test plans, test release and environment plans with change requests, incidents and project delivery
- Supporting the business with recommending further test conditions to help with negative testing and regression testing
- Coordination of testing with the business, technical teams and third party suppliers
- Identify and escalate issues that require immediate attention
- Ensuring testing has gone through appropriate testing cycles and has business approval
- Experience in understanding, reviewing and analysing functional design documents (FDD and technical design documents (TDD)
- Production of test scripts and supporting the execution of the test scripts where necessary
- Experience with JIRA and ServiceNow to help coordinate, create defects, issues and enhancements
- Attend change board meetings, prepare for change board meetings and support the Platform Optimisation Lead in running them
- Experience of using Oracle Support and lead raising service requests for P2T, T2T etc.
- Provide support, guidance, development and innovation for all applications and integrations in your specialist area, ensuring the user community has the best practice processes and key functional opportunities available to them
- Work with the business, vendors and 3rd party support agents in a seamless “1 team” philosophy
Skills you’ll need (minimum criteria)
- Extensive experience in a Test Analyst role with experience of complex system integrations, preparing test activities and making sure that we are operationally ready
- Experience in the following applications: Oracle Fusion ERP, Oracle Fusion HCM, Oracle E-business suite HR & Payroll modules or other SaaS applications
- Functional knowledge around financial, HR, production finance or corporate systems and processes
- Experience understanding and articulating business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing , training, defining support procedures and SLAs and implementing robust and scalable solutions
- Solid understanding of ITIL ITSM and Oracle support processes, release cycles and customer networks
- Understanding of cloud-based SaaS and PaaS market offerings, on premise / legacy systems as well as general application based infrastructure in both SaaS and on premise
Qualifications (Desirable)
- ISTQB Foundation certification
- ITIL Certification
