Primary role accountabilities:

The Senior Business Analyst provides a hands-on delivery role within the ERP Service Delivery team, translating business objectives and critical to quality requirements into solution designs.

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for mapping system roadmaps and quarterly updates to business objectives and key requirements. They will support the Oracle Service Delivery team in describing the solution through architecture and design artifacts, providing options and recommendations, and guiding the delivery of solutions in line with ERP design principles.

The Senior BA/ SA is also responsible for coordinating testing and ensuring quality of system updates.

Secondary role accountabilities:

The Senior Business Analyst/ Solution Architect is also accountable for:

  • Requirements analysis and identifying solution gaps.
  • Working with the Oracle Service Delivery team, Global Process Owners, Business SMEs to deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Supporting the Head of Enterprise Applications in validating designs including alignment with all relevant Design Authorities.
  • Ability to understand and clearly explain best practice solutions.
  • Ability to understand and clearly explain, Oracle Fusion Cloud modules/ configurations.
  • Liaising with stakeholders; including internal and external parties.
  • Review and provide quality assurance of deliverables and artefacts produced by the System Integrators and internal team.
  • Supporting Global Process Owners and the Oracle Service Delivery team in all phases of testing including test scenario creation, test data and test execution.
  • Working in both traditional waterfall and agile environments.

Performance measurement:

The performance of the Senior Business Analyst/ Solution Architect will be assessed with reference to the following aspects:

  • Deliverables aligned to all relevant governance requirements, including Design Authorities.
  • Stable solutions that meet business requirements.
  • Timely and effective management of business problems and incidents.

Knowledge, capabilities, and skills

The following knowledge and skills are essential for the role.

  • An experienced business analyst, able to call on a structured set of tools and methodologies to elicit, prioritise and document requirements (Business Analysis qualifications desirable).
  • Experience of designing lean solutions (knowledge/qualification in Lean Six Sigma is desirable).
  • Experience of hands-on design and delivery of the solution architecture for an Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation.
  • Experience of Oracle security and identity access management.
  • Demonstrable experience producing, writing, and delivering technical specifications.
  • Experienced in ERP solutions including knowledge of Business, Data, Information, Integration, Application and Technology Layers.
  • Familiarity with working with 3rd party suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality designs that conform to the business requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and think creatively.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement methods.
  • Strong knowledge of a broad range of technology and technology trends with a strong understanding of best practices.
  • The ability to learn and support new applications and technologies.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and to influence/ integrate diverse views into coherent designs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with diligent attention to detail and quality of output.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience of working with stakeholders, and technical teams across the organisation.
  • A self-starter and a completer finisher – can start and run with complex work to a conclusion with limited assistance.
  • Ability to work in both traditional waterfall and agile environments.
  • Proactive and passionate about delivering best practice methodologies to obtain results.
  • A structured approach to work.
