About the store
Specsavers Welshpool first opened its doors in 2018. The store sits in a prominent position within the Mill Lane retail park and is firmly embedded within the local community. The loyal and growing customer base includes many shoppers who come to the retail park in addition to significant passing trade. The team at Welshpool pride themselves ensuring that every one of their customers receives an excellent patient experience that have led to numerous positive customer reviews.
The store has three optical test rooms and one dedicated hearcare room – all fully equipped with the latest clinical technology, including OCT – meaning you will have everything you need to perform sight tests to the highest possible standards.
A team of 9 dedicated colleagues call this store home and you will be joining the existing Retail Partner, David Dunlop who has been with the store since opening and is looking forward to welcoming a new Optometry Partner to the team and advise on clinical training requirements, introducing new specialisms and build/shape the team
Store location
The store is located in the market town of Welshpool and is only four miles from the Wales-England border. There are excellent transport links to the store, with both regular buses and a train station nearby. The store boasts free parking withing the retail park for up to three hours for customers that wish to drive to the store.
Requirements of the role
Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Optometrist with the drive and willingness to maintain customer-focused culture and high standards of this successful store, you’ll be able to provide a blend of customer care and professional excellence. You’ll demonstrate excellent leadership and commercial understand with the ability to build good relations within the local community.
