Job Role: Optical Technician Apprenticeship Location: Kendal, Cumbria Working hours: Full time - 37.5 hours (to include weekend working) Weekly: £225.00 - £390.75 (depending on age) We've got the vision if you've got the drive! Work for a friendly employer who values you Receive comprehensive and structured training Learn transferable as well as job-specific skills Day-to-day, you'll help us out by producing customer orders from scratch, interpreting optical prescriptions and drawings, correcting faults and re-assembling of glasses, carrying out testing and adjustments, prepare and maintain materials and equipment. You'll also make sure that you are producing the highest quality assured product. Your on-the-job training will sit alongside structured learning and at the end of the 15-18 months as an apprentice, you'll be a fully-fledged Level 3 Optical Technician. You'll need a grade 9-4 (A*-C) GCSEs in Maths (or equivalent/predicted result). It's not essential to have worked in the Optical sector, this a new adventure, but you will need the organisation, commitment, motivation and enthusiasm to deliver the great product our Specsavers visitors love.
