Job description
Understanding of eye conditions and anatomy would be expected with previous Ophthalmic imaging experience , additional training will be given to progress to using more advanced imaging techniques and instrumentation once competencies have been achieved. You will need to be a good communicator as you will be dealing with patients with a variety of needs, some with visual impairment, some with hearing loss, some with cognitive needs. The successful applicant will be asked to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a busy team and offering leadership and guidance to more junior team members. They will be expected to carry out visual field assessments, OCTs using various different imaging instruments and platforms, as well as other imaging techniques and eye clinic roles as required for patients and service needs.
There will be some teaching and supervision of more junior/less experienced imagers expected and at times, co-ordinating the team.
