Sivers Photonics (a subsidiary of Sivers Semiconductors AB) is the world’s most advanced supplier of customised III-V compound semiconductor laser devices, which are critical to high growth optical communications, sensing and wireless markets. Our photonic laser devices are enabling next generation applications including artificial intelligence, data-centres and quantum technology.
We are a key strategic supplier to many Fortune 100 and Silicon Valley customers and collaborate with leading academic institutions and industry research centres throughout the world.
From our UK based foundry near Glasgow, Scotland, we provide end-to-end design, manufacture and qualification for early phase prototypes and high-volume production, supporting up to 100mm wafer sizes on InP, GaAs, GaSb and GaN substrates.
We currently employ 77 staff across roles in R&D, wafer fabrication and backend assembly & test, as well as in various commercial roles.
We have a number of opportunities to join our growing production team providing world leading manufacturing services. Based at our state of the art cleanroom facility in Blantyre, our Operators process both engineering and production products through the wafer fab and assembly areas.
Whilst experience in semiconductor wafer fabrication or assembly would be an advantage we would provide full training for curious and detailed team players looking for development in a growing company and sector.
The shifts are weekly rotating day and nights Monday to Thursday.
Responsibilities
- Process both engineering and production products through the wafer fab and assembly areas to agreed timescales and quality levels
- Update
- Comply with Quality, Health, Safety and environmental requirements
- Identify, support and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Assist in the upkeep and improvement of the fab environment
- Regular feedback and communication with the Shift Leaders and Production Manager
- Ensure high degree of cleanliness in work areas
- Provide feedback to the engineering teams on equipment performance and any product problems and support root cause investigations and corrective actions when required
- Gather data for KPIs
Experience
- Semiconductor wafer fabrication or assembly is an advantage but not essential
- Proficient in Microsoft Packages and preferably an MES package
