Job Description:
Operator, Sterile Production
Line Manager:
Head of sterile Manufacture, Sterile Production
Primary Responsibilities:
· To participate in the provision of a safe, effective, and efficient manufacturing service dedicated to sterile veterinary medicines in compliance with cGMP.
· To support and deliver effective Right First-Time processes.
· To help maintain the clean-room environment, through cleaning and monitoring to minimize the risk of microbiological contamination of products in accordance with relevant documentation and procedures.
· To perform component assembly and aseptic transfer of trays containing raw materials and equipment required for the aseptic manufacture of batch medications within the unit.
· To perform and record regular checks on pharmaceutical equipment within the cleanrooms.
· To participate in the procurement and stock management of consumables and components used for aseptic processing.
· To perform production and packaging procedures in accordance with relevant documentation and procedures.
· To perform environmental monitoring activities in accordance with relevant documentation and procedures.
· Effective communication of any adverse events witnessed during batch manufacture and environmental abnormalities.
· Proactively promote and adhere to cGMP practices providing traceability and compliance with written instructions.
· Notify Line Management of any issues relating to Health and Safety.
· To assist wherever required within the Production Department.
Required skills:
· An understanding of cGMP within a pharmaceutical production environment
· Good numerical skills
· Health & Safety awareness
· Experience within a cleanroom setting
· Experience of aseptic manipulation and/or manufacture
Desired skills:
· Experience or an understanding of isolator use
· Experience with or an understanding of autoclaves and sterilisers
· Experience of Sterile batch manufacture
