Location: Slough
Shift Pattern : 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off - 12-hours shift
Salary: From £30,500 - £32,000 (base pay + shift allowances) + 6% bonus - Depending on experience

Working as a member of a shift team, the primary role of an Operator is to demonstrate ownership and responsibility for a set of machines, pieces of equipment and/ or processes within their working area. This includes carrying out the routine operational tasks required to achieve area targets such as starting-up, shutting-down, monitoring, quality checks and cleaning. In addition you will be carrying out basic changeovers, minor repairs, preventative maintenance, routine equipment checks and service inspections, and the use of basic ancillary equipment and associated computer programs.
What are we looking for?
- Educated to GCSE level or above
- Fluent English verbal and written skills.
- Experience in a similar role in Production, Manufacturing or Warehousing industry is desirable.
- Mechanical training or experience in fault-finding is a real asset
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Part of a shift team of up to 15 associates contributing to achievement of KPIs.
- Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
- Escalate issues as appropriate, give full and accurate verbal and written handover
- Deal with machine or equipment stoppages using trained knowledge and experience.
