We’re looking for a Utilities Labourer to join our Utilities, South West Water where in the team . Within this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and ensuring that all work are carried out safely and to programme.
Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected. In this role, you will be working on our South West Water contract, where we work on repairs and maintenance services to provide reliable, efficient, and high-quality drinking water and wastewater services.
In the role of Operative, you will work closely in a team and other colleagues to work on schemes including mains laying, pressure management, district metering and large and complex mains repairs.
Location: Based from our Redruth depot
Contract: Permanent – Full time
Responsibilities
As a Utilities Labourer for the South West Water team your day-to-day will include:
- Carry out any ad-hoc duties instructed by the management team or team leader / ganger
- Be responsible for personal and site safety
- Ensure full and correct use of vehicles, plant and materials, keeping wastage to a minimum and carry out any ad-hoc duties that may occur as instructed by the management team or Team Leader / Ganger
Who are we looking for?
This Utilities Labourer role is great for you if you have:
- experience or desire to work in a hands on role.
- Full UK Driving Licence
- It would also be great if you held relevant CSCS / CPSC & NRSWA cards, along with utility experience, but not essential as we will provide full training and development
