Your Impact
Axon's Software Services Team is looking for a Operational Excellence Specialist to create and maintain dashboards, data, processes, operational cadences, sales support, and other duties as assigned. This role will directly impact the team's ability to scale and grow in conjunction with the market demands for more software services in public safety.
Axon has lead the global effort to protect life and through electric weapons, body cameras, a number of real-time sensors, public safety software products and AI tools. Axon is uniquely positioned to tie together every aspect of an incident in order to help law enforcement agencies better prepare for what might happen, respond efficiently and effectively, deliver justice, ensure the well being of their officers, and increase the safety of communities. Working together with our customers and product teams, you will build the foundation for Axon's outcome-oriented data efforts.
What You'll Do
Location: Remotely from United States
Reports to: Manager, Operations Excellence, Software Services
Direct Reports: 0
- Identify areas of improvement within operational processes, develop strategies, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, and increase productivity.
- Drive change by developing and implementing effective change management plans, ensuring smooth adoption of new processes and technologies.
- Strengthen and support the communication and collaboration between Sales and SWSS teams.
- Support clear communications across various parts of the org, to include but not limited to preparations for Quarterly Town Hall meetings, coordinating monthly OKR discussions/updates, hosting monthly New Hire Orientations, and crafting monthly newsletters
- Create SOPs for when, where, and how documents and processes are captured, maintained and stored to include playbooks, customer-facing project dashboards, executive summary dashboards, customer signed milestone completion reports (MCRs) for invoicing and revenue recognition, standard processes per role-type, pre-Sales supporting documentation, SOWs, and all other critical documentation for our customers and operations
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience in operations excellence, business operations, process improvement, or similar
- Required skill in creating dashboards, understanding gaps in data and creating ability to capture new data, collaborating cross-functionally, and helping others understand what the data means and drive data-driven actions
- Required background identifying process gaps and opportunities for efficiencies
- Degree in Business, Process Improvement, or similar is a plus
- Alignment with Axon Values
- Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check and maintain confidential and highly sensitive information.

Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 81,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 144,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 91,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 200,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
