Operations Support Manager
Southwest
£40,000 – £45.000 per annum, negotiable dependant on experience

Role Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a proven group manager or operations support manager to join TNS Catering, working predominantly across the southwest supporting a growing number of contract catering sites within the region, including Business & Industry and Education.
Substantial travel expectations will realistically be part of the role, and whilst you will predominantly be working on contracts across the Midlands, expectation to visit sites further afield will all be part of the fun. We have business all across the UK and on occasion, if you’re proven to be the best person for the job, we will want to send you!
Working mostly Monday to Friday, you must be flexible and able to work evenings or weekends as the business requires, as some of our contracts operate during these times.
Your role will carry high expectations and be varied, consisting of;
- Supporting with further development of all sites in the region, working closely with your Operations Manager to deliver excellence at every opportunity.
- Developing and delivering promotional activity to support the growth of sales, manage costs and add innovation and value to the services.
- Financial analysis and reporting for client meetings and internal process.
- Conducting audits in Health & Safety, Food Safety and Financial aspects of the services.
- Training and development of site catering managers and team members.
- Client liaison including creating and presenting business summary reports.
- Supporting new site mobilisations.
- Supporting company HR functions including investigation & disciplinary aspects where required.
The ideal candidate:
Are you a bit of a star? Do you respond well when you’re under pressure and the team around you are ‘in the weeds’?
We are looking for applicants who are confident, flexible, and understanding of operational pressures, whilst having a passion for food and being self-motivated to deliver excellence.
You will ideally be someone who;
· Has a passion for food, and eye on current trends, and won’t accept anything less than killer customer service
· Always questions the ‘status quo’ – looking for how we can do it better, whoever came up with the ideas…
· Has experience in multi-site management and the responsibility surrounding this
· Shows strong leadership, communication and presentation skills
· Is financially astute, with good computer skills, and a proven record of strong financial performance
· Has past experience as a chef, as some relief cover will be required within the role at times
· Is confident in staff training and development
· Can be flexible and versatile in order to respond to the varied expectations of this role
