The Operations Support Manager helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by leading the operational volunteering and support functions across a geographical region. They contribute to the leadership of the region and ensure effective support for all services.


This role will be based on site at either the National Centre or Leamington office, working closely with a team of operational support staff. You’ll be working 35 hours per week, worked 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

Candidate profile

Candidate requirements


To be able to fulfil this role, the skills and experience we are looking for in a potential candidate include;


Essential

  • Business administration qualification or equivalent work-related experience
    Proven experience of managing a team in an administration / service support function.
  • Proven track record in managing a team of staff working across multiple sites, to achieve results balancing local needs against national priorities.
  • Evidence of dealing with confidential issues sensitively and with total integrity.
  • Working in a customer service environment.
  • Involvement in leading or closely supporting projects to successful conclusion.
  • Experience of managing volunteers / supporters.
  • Experience of creating an inclusive work environment for people with a disability.
  • Quality management and / or continuous improvement practices.
  • Experience of handling budgetary and performance management data.

Desirable


  • Project Management / methodology.
  • Health & Safety / compliance monitoring experience.
  • Experienced with Salesforce and/or CARE CRM systems.
  • Experienced in reporting from CRM Databases
