Linear AV Ltd is seeking an experienced operations supervisor to oversee daily activities of our Trade Only installation business covering Solstice and Linear businesses. The ideal candidate will have a sharp business mind and proven success in working with multiple departments for maximum productivity. This person will be highly skilled in team management, finance, and IT management, and be able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the project and engineering teams.
Objectives of this role
- Maintain constant communication with Engineering teams, the commercial director, project managers, sales team, Vendors, Trade Resellers, and their End Clients.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols for Risk Assessment and Health & Safety.
- Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance the company’s internal capacity using predominately our engineering platform.
- Ensure that operational, engineering and services activities remain on time and within budget.
- Track staffing requirements, onboarding new engineering teams as required keeping geographical location key to installation sites. (Nation-Wide UK Coverage)
- As above to investigate European Coverage.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and support a large engineering team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including any future career development plans for direct reports and problem resolution within the Engineering Teams or Our Trade Customers.
- Manage and update asset registers for project and service contracts. Reduce costs where possible, eliminate errors, and deliver excellent customer service.
- Work closely with all departments across the Linear and Solstice business to ensure that activities remain compliant, and the proposition of Hardware Brands supplied by the group.
- Oversee materials and inventory required for Installation Works.
- Conduct budget reviews and report cost plans to the commercial director.
Required skills and qualifications.
- Two or more years of proven success in an operations supervisor or similar role.
- Strong skills in budget development and oversight.
- Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of engineering, service operations and customer service.
- Proficiency in conflict management and business negotiation processes.
- Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications.
Preferred skills and qualifications
- Strong IT Skills and working knowledge of management software programs, including Microsoft office.
- Training will be provided on our excellent Engineering Platform Klipboard.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and manage teams.
- Excellent Organizational skills.

Salary: £19,959.88-£28,989.00 per year
