We have an exciting opportunity for a responsive, critical thinking Operations Scheduler to join our Engineering Planning department, dedicated to the Plumber Team delivering our service in the field. The role is key to coordinating scheduled Plumbing works for several key customer accounts in line with service delivery KPIs. This role is based in our Harwell office, in Didcot, supporting clients and employees across the UK.

Role and responsibilities:

As an Operations Scheduler at SMS Environmental, you will be responsible for:

  • Coordinating with Engineering Supervisor to ensure that all allocated customer’s works have been planned as per scheduling agreement
  • Collaborating with the customer site teams to arrange, confirm and schedule site visit appointments for the engineers’ planners and during all stages of the service delivery
  • Process completed tasks in the internal Opuz management system
  • Ensure that client process guides are updated regularly for all assigned contracts
  • Troubleshoot problems arising with service deliveries and provide solutions or work-around
  • Deal with ad-hoc customer enquiries and work with internal staff to ensure a professional and efficient Service delivery
  • Collating and analysing data for KPIs as requested by the Service Delivery Manager

Key Skills and Experience:

We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate:

  • Excellent Customer Service and communication skills
  • Effective organisation and planning skills
  • Experience in planning or scheduling resources in a field services delivery role (e.g. mobile Engineers, transport or Logistics environment) is desirable.
  • IT Confidence, particularly in bespoke software packages
