Company Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity now available with one of our most innovative public sector clients! They are currently looking for a skilled SC Cleared Delivey Manager to join their team for a six-month contract.
Job Responsibilities/Objectives
Plan, lead and facilitate all aspects of project/programme delivery including definition and management of the project scope and schedule.
Develop, baseline and manage all the project delivery management artefacts, including Project Schedule, Project Risks, Issues, Actions and Decisions log (RAID), etc.
Consistently track and monitor teams' progress. Effectively manage and escalate risks/issues / dependencies with any parameters impacting project quality, cost and timely delivery.
Facilitate and schedule workshops with business, Engineering Managers, Architects, and Solution Owners for solutioning and/or requirements clarifications as needed.
Provide regular reporting including weekly status reports / end of sprint reports / Quarterly Objectives / Team progress, for visibility to all stakeholders and business partners.
Assist with decision-making by facilitating feature and capability estimation by teams and the roll-up to epics, where necessary.
Provide data for project metrics and perform analysis of the defined metrics0
Participate in team Agile ceremonies including daily scrum, retrospectives etc. and manage the relationship with the client and all the relevant stakeholders.
Adhering to using all Standard Project Management Processes, including Release and Deployment Management
Required Skills/Experience
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Demonstrated experience delivering Government / Public sector service design and delivery projects and leading SAFe Agile delivery.
Experience of working with Agile tools, particularly with JIRA.
Good understanding of working closely with Data teams.
Ability to understand complex technical issues, assess potential impact, create remedial plans / options and explain in a simple non-jargon way to peers and seniors.
Experience of managing complex programmes/projects, across multiple locations / regions, and delivering to demanding schedules.
Proven communications and influencing skills across all levels, both internal and external -including presentations, negotiations and written reporting.
Ability to lead and motivate diverse project teams and juggle multiple tasks.
Exposure to various technologies from management perspective, including Microsoft Dynamics
Understanding of Jira and/or Confluence
