The role …

Project Managers work closely with Researchers and Scriptwriters on project execution. They need to develop a strong collaborative relationship with the wider centre team for the delivery of all projects and will be required to become an active member of the whole Edinburgh Operations Hub, from the casual work pool up to the management team.

In addition, they will be expected to collaborate with and foster productive relationships with colleagues across the wider Operations organisation.

This role offers hybrid working, with the team based in the Edinburgh office Tuesday - Thursday and the rest from home.

What will I being doing?

This will be a varied and interesting role including:-
  • A multiskilled individual who will become an expert in the costing, scoping and execution of our projects
  • Day to day management of all aspects relating to project set-up and delivery
  • Maintain and improve efficiency of sample and quota management
  • Active engagement with all areas of work carried out within the Edinburgh operations hub
  • Work to build a respectful and collaborative relationship with the casual workforce
  • Help identify opportunities for further improvements in work processes and structure with particular focus on Project Management and how it impacts the unit as a whole
  • Work with the team to systemically improve productivity and quality
  • Strive to become an advocate of our team across the wider UK Operations team with the Service Lines and Ipsos Operations colleagues abroad
What do I need to bring with me?

  • Project management/supervision experience within a research environment would be advantageous
  • Able to learn and be open minded about self-development and critique
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication and organisation skills
  • Excellent team player able to flex their style to cope with the many different work groups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail in all areas of work
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain positive through adversity

  • Ability to set clear goals and objectives
  • Excellent software skills
