Operations Process Manager
You will be responsible for operational ownership of FBU, Championing Facilities Excellence within Operations, leading projects and supporting CI to ensure the business metrics for safety, quality, efficiency, and supply are achieved.
In this role you will
- This role will be based in Fleming Business Unit.
- Lead, Coach and develop the Fermentation Operators withing FBU Facility to support culture, capabilities, performance, and production KPIs.
- Have operational ownership for FBU to ensure we are Audit Ready for Quality and Safety.
- Ensure the required ways of working operations are optimal, defined and understood such that the operational targets are met.
- Ensure changes proposed to plant and processes are suitable for and implemented into operations successfully. This will involve liaison with other groups especially safety, technical, quality and engineering to ensure improvement activities, CAPA and routine operation actions are appropriate. This will include preparing capital investment proposals and some elements of project programme management.
- Be the operations owner for compliance documentation.
- Work with Stage Managers, Shift leaders, Engineering, Technical, Safety and Quality to ensure equipment, process and compliance issues are addressed appropriately. This will include leading and driving investigations, root cause sessions and action completion.
- Cover and Support Stage Manager group for Continuous Improvement, Deviation and Root Cause Analyse.

Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Degree that supports the Business - Science, Chemical or Business.
- Process Safety Awareness Certification or Experience in Safety Management.
- Ability to Lead and develop people.
- Proven demonstrable technical awareness and competence within the Augmentin Clav Value Stream – Fermentation through to Blends.
- Managing and delivering compliance tasks.
- Change management experience
- Experience working in front line operations environment
- Facilities Management and Regulatory audit experience.
- Major capital project/ TRRP experience.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Continuous Improvement (CI) training, use of root cause, process aligned management, other GSK Production System (GPS) tools
- Understanding of compliance requirements
- Site capital process and knowledge of PIP justification
- Level of financial understanding.
- Leadership skills
- Aspen Tech/Process Explorer
- Awareness of Augmentin Supply & Production Planning Process
