Job description
Clearabee is the UK’s largest on demand clearance company employing over 300 people across the UK with an in-house fleet of over 175 vehicles. We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our operations team, working at our Grade A office and Operations Hub in Rochdale.
Job Title:

Pay:
- £38,000 per year with upside potential and substantial career growth
- 3 days on 3 days off (12 hours + 1 hour break – see shift pattern below)
- 36 Hour Average Week
- Holiday pay
- Permanent contract

Roles and responsibilities include:
- Working with a team of junior staff to manage over 150 vehicles and more than 1000 jobs per day
- Identify improvements to the routing of our vehicles as jobs develop and more work comes in across the day
- Responding to events such as breakdowns and at risk SLA’s
- Communicating over the telephone and using our apps with drivers directly, assisting them with their jobs and any queries which arise
- Assisting our fleet management team in keeping vehicles road worthy by identifying preventive maintenance
- Developing the capability to plan detailed routes and work on specialist projects
Skills:
- Very competent using technology and computer-based systems
- Good communicator and able to build relationships with our drivers in the field
- Commercial awareness with an ability to plan detailed and complex routes in an ever changing environment
- Ability to thrive well under pressure with a proven track record in such environments
Requirements:
- Experience managing field teams and fleets
- Experience working closely with drivers

Shift Pattern:
This role comes with a 3 on 3 off style shift pattern on a 7 day week which will typically be 6am to 7pm and includes 1 hour of breaks. This means Sunday will nearly always be off although on occasion you may be asked to work this shift in exchange for a lieu day.
Week 1: Mon-Wed
Week 2: Thu – Sat
Week 3: Mon – Wed
Week 4: Thu – Sat
During training you may be required to work Monday to Friday for up to 1 month.
