Location: Oxford Brookes University
Rate of pay: Up to £50,000 per annum
Working pattern: 40 hours per week
Key responsibilities:
Responsible for a portfolio of sites to ensure that the service and operation is delivered in line with CH&Co standards, the client’s expectations and achieving all set financial targets and budgets. To assist the Account Director with ongoing projects. To support Account Director in the management of the wider portfolio of sites as required.
This position oversees all catering operations within Oxford Brookes University. To deliver great experiences, focusing on brilliant spaces, energetic and engaged people, and amazing food. Identifies, motivates, trains, develops and directs managers to deliver exceptional results and accomplish goals and projects.
- Drives a culture of excellence throughout the business and has a passion for quality food preparation and taste
- As the Operations Manager you will lead and develop a team of Managers (Unit Managers and 2 Group Managers )
- You will oversee the restaurants, cafes, coffee shops and vending.
- A passion for food, customer service and a hands-on management style is essential.
- The position will be supporting each site with the day to day management of the contract ensuring that all client expectations are surpassed, providing innovation and training
- Build Consistency of offer and service across the estate, continually reviewing standards and processes.
- Identify any additional opportunities to make improvements, constantly looking for new ideas in technology, food, service & people
- Manage client and stakeholder relationships whilst ensuring contractual compliance and adherence to company policies.
- Work with the site management team and the company chefs to ensure that the client expectations of food and food service are consistently delivered to the highest standards and in line with CH&CO food values
- Ensure that SOPs are in place for all sites within the allocated portfolio and that standards are measured against these SOPs
- To produce and present financial reports to the clients as and when directed by the Account Director.
- Support the Account Director in preparation of the site annual budgets.
