Salary: Competitive

Hours: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours a week.

Location: Waterloo London with some home working and additional InHealth site visits as required to support business needs

As the Operations Manager, you will be a key member of the Reporting team, and responsible for the delivery of our safe, effective and industry leading reporting services. What you will do:

In your role as Operations Manager, your skills and expertise will provide leadership and operational know-how which delivers our customers’ requirements and develops our service further.

In particular, you will be responsible for leading the team that ensures the successful operational delivery of reporting services which:

  • Meet contractual and quality KPIs, with reports delivered on time and to a high standard.
  • Match the reporting demand with the supply of Radiologists both in our internal teams and external subcontractors.
  • Provide support to the reporters (Radiologists and Radiographers) so that they have everything they need to be able to provide a high-quality efficient service.
  • Plan the future delivery of this service, which is expected to grow significantly in the coming months and years.

By adopting an approach of continuous improvement, you will deliver our business objectives, expand our reporting activity in line with budget and never lose sight of patient and customer satisfaction. You will also lead on operational management of the Service Delivery Team and build great relationships with our customers.

What you are responsible for:

Operations

  • Ensuring the service delivers the highest standard and meets expectations of our customer
  • Successfully planning, owning, and implementing operational projects as and when required (in conjunction with the Head of Ops).
  • Running regular contract management meetings with our third-party reporting providers to monitor peer review compliance and raise any incidents or complaints.
  • Ensuring the Service Delivery Team have the resources, assets and processes in place to deliver an effective service
  • Resolving malfunctions in our reporting platform (Biotronics) as soon as possible and investigating root causes to avoid repeat incidents.
  • Setting, monitoring and achieving rigorous performance management targets
  • Producing daily, weekly and monthly reports for the Head of Operations as and when required.
  • Developing relationships with customers where required including but not limited to; Radiology Managers, PRC, referring clinicians, and Reporting Radiologists and Radiographers.
  • Maintain and monitor operational issue logs / trackers, identify themes, and implement solutions.

People Management

  • Ensuring sufficient employee resource availability through effective planning.
  • Specifically working with reporters to ensure that the supply of reporting capacity matches reporting demand from our customers.
  • Provide support to the reporters so that they have everything they need to be able to provide a high-quality efficient service.
  • Developing immediate staff members by providing coaching and mentorship.
  • Delivering an annual appraisal process which incorporates a personal development plan for each team member, builds capabilities to match or exceed roles, and encourages progression.
  • Maintaining up-to-date training, appraisal and PDP records for the team.
  • Working with team members to build a culture that fosters engagement, productivity, clinical excellence and customer satisfaction.

Quality and Governance

  • Support InHealth Reporting’s Quality and Governance team to:Effectively implement appropriate policies and procedures

Respond to clients in relation to incidents and complaints where necessary.
Oversee creation of feedback and training materials for radiologists and radiographers

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Organisational and time management skills that enable you to prioritise conflicting demands and delegate tasks appropriately.

  • A commercially aware individual with creative thinking.
  • Someone who recognises and promotes desired behaviours to support their team to achieve success.
  • A skilled and confident written and verbal communicator.
  • (Not essential) Educated about CQC requirements, Health & Safety, Infection Control, the Data Protection Act and Caldicott Principles.
