Job description
Operations Manager for Chocolate Experience Company
Join us in a truly unique role in the heart of Shoreditch, London as an Operations Manager for My Chocolate, where you'll take the business to the next level. We're looking for someone who is passionate about creating events to remember, whether it's for a self-indulgent afternoon, children's party, team building event or any occasion.
You'll need to have a proven track record in managing operations, preferably in the events or hospitality sector, and be ready to go the extra mile to make every event memorable. We're seeking someone who is detail-oriented with experience in project planning, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
As the successful candidate, you'll have an agile, 'start up' company mindset and be multi-talented, finding pleasure in making people happy. At My Chocolate, we believe that a happy workplace is a productive workplace, and our customers always come first.
You'll be helping to drive the company forward, creating a great place for people to work and visit. We value people's opinions and are looking for someone with drive and ambition who wants to be a part of our journey.
Your main responsibilities will include providing direction, inspiration, and motivation to our team of chocolatiers on a day-to-day basis, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience in staff rostering, an agile mindset, and the ability to juggle last-minute bookings and changes to our freelance chocolatiers' work schedule.
You'll also need practical knowledge of budgeting, cash-flow regulation, maintaining balance sheets, monitoring the profit and loss statements, experience with stock management software, excel and word, and maintaining and improving our venue aesthetics.
You'll have the option of hosting and teaching workshops, keeping multiple events across multiple locations in motion to bring each show in on time and to budget, and the possibility of assisting in managing future developments, including the curation and production of new events.
As a small company, we understand the pressures this brings, and we need someone who is willing to pitch in and become an integral part of the team and the long-term vision.
We offer a salary of £35,000 - £40,000, with benefits that include a profit-sharing scheme to ensure that the team benefits from future growth. We require a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week, with Saturdays being an essential workday.
Join us, and let's make every event a memorable one!
