Job title: Group Operations Supervisor
Reporting to: Group Operations Director
Job purpose:
The fulfilment Supervisor oversees fulfilment operations in a hands-on manner, serving and
motivating fulfilment operatives, leading by example, advocating the Company’s required code
of conduct and fostering a positive and collaborative team atmosphere. The Fulfilment Supervisor
will lead the team of operatives within their function and will spend time cross-training in other
fulfilment designations.
They will oversee and coordinate the daily fulfilment activities, upholding 5S standards and maintaining productivity while adhering to customer service SLAs within their designated function.
As a result, they should be able to ensure that daily operations meet and exceed the daily SLAs and `KPIs that enable the fulfilment centre to make incremental improvements with the support of the Continuous Improvement Manager.
Location: Paddock Wood
Working Hours: 10 hour shift pattern between the operational hours of 0700-2200
Key tasks and responsibilities
· Ensuring the smooth running of the operation based on allocating the right resource in the right place at the right time to meet agreed SLAs and KPIs.
· Ensuring that all fulfilment operatives act as brand ambassadors for the Company.
· Ensuring adherence to opening and shut-down processes of the facilities in a thorough and timely manner.
· Actively involved in daily team huddles, raising issues, roadblocks, or improvements as and when required.
· Staff training – onboard and induct new starters effectively.
· Oversee employee performance, providing timely feedback to their manager for training and upskilling opportunities.
· Maintaining accurate audit trails of activities on both paper and database systems.
· Ensuring compliance and maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Deliverables:
· SLA is in line with agreed requirements across all areas within their responsibility.
· End-of-day reporting is accurate, with supporting comments submitted in the required time frame.
· Agreed tasks and priorities are met in line with deadlines.
· Ensure that Company’s policies, SOPs, WIs, and other procedures are followed and that the Company is compliant across Health & Safety, Security and the Environment (HSSE).
Skills Required:
- Experience in fulfilment, warehousing, distribution or similar logistics environment.
- Forward-thinking with an eye for detail.
- Motivated to achieve key business results.
- Adept at identifying fundamental root causes of issues and suggesting systemic solutions.
- Strong with computer-based.
- Proficient in juggling multiple priorities as they arise.
· Ability to input, retrieve and analyse data.
· Hands-on commitment to getting the job done.
· Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.
· Proven ability to direct and orchestrate operations.
· Strong organisational and time management skills.

Familiarity with systems and software Microsoft O365 (ERP, CRM, WMS).

Salary: £28,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
