We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Assistant) to join our Guildford practice in a permanent role, 40 hours per week. The role
The successful candidate will have previous receptionist or in customer facing experience, as well as a love for animals, although no prior animal care experience is required. This position will best suit a proactive enthusiastic individual with a passion for customer service and exceptional communication skills. You will be able to multitask, remain calm under pressure and priorities your workload whilst maintaining a friendly and welcoming disposition. 40 hours a week Shifts 08:00 - 19:00 08:00 - 13:00 08:00 - 19:00 08:00 - 13:00 08:00 - 13:00 1:4 Saturdays
Key accountabilities
The duties of the Veterinary Receptionist (Client Care Assistant) include but are not limited to: Prompt and efficient telephone answering Dealing with routine client queries Making appointments Taking payments Money handling and banking General admin duties such as monitoring and responding to emails Stock Management
Skills and experience
Reception and Administration experience is essential, you’ll also receive support and training. You must share our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in customer service and have caring, thoughtful communication skills. Essential Attributes: Presentable Empathetic Good written English Computer literate Outgoing Able to solve problems Good telephone skills and manner Engaging manner with clients and team members Animal lover No unspent criminal convictions. Previous veterinary receptionist experience is desirable but not essential.
Branch
The clinic is situated on the outskirts of Guildford, famous for its historic cobbled high street. Our team currently consists of 1 vet surgeon, 1 Head Nurse, 1 RVN, 1 student Nurse and 2 receptionists. As a very close team they do treasure the occasional pizza lunch! Our clinic is spacious has recently undergone a refurbishment and is well equipped, with digital xrays, modern in-house laboratory testing facilities, ultrasound, two operating theatres, separate cat, dog and isolation wards. On site out of hours service provided by Vets Now, allowing for continuity of care for our patients.
