WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for a manager to join our Middle Office Trading Operations team. You will have day to day responsibility for managing the team as well as significantly contributing to BAU activities. We are looking for someone highly experienced with full trade lifecycle knowledge, including trade processing, corporate actions, expiries, settlements, support on P&L and NAV inquiries and reconciliations. Strong knowledge of Equities, Swaps, Futures, Options and ETFs products.
You and the team will work closely with the trading desks and our technology team and help automate our post-trade processes with a strong focus on driving operational efficiency.
We are looking for a good team player and someone capable of learning quickly, with the desire to investigate and resolve issues to join our team.
You should have the ability to understand complex systems quickly and take a proactive approach to improving processes. You also need to have strong organisational skills and attention to detail to meet the demands of a fast-paced environment. We have strong focus on automation and operational efficiency, which means that experience with scripting, programming or databases will prove useful.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of bachelors’ degree in Economics, Finance, or STEM related subjects
- Minimum of 5 years of Middle Office Operations experience from the buy-side
- Strong knowledge of Equities (Cash/Swap), FX/NDF, Futures/Options, ETFs
- Experience with conversion workflows for fungible securities and depositary receipts
- Experience with Options/Futures expiry processes
- Daily reconciliations with fund administrator, PBs and executing brokers
- Solid understanding of NAV, P&L and margin calculations and reporting
- Experience working with PMS vendors and systems
- Previous involvement in projects to automate workflows and streamline systems/processes
- Experience being point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to multitask and pay strong attention to detail
- Previous experience managing team members but also able to demonstrate team player skills
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership, with a track record of delivering results
- Experience working in a high-volume systematic trading environment
- Advanced Excel/VBA skills is needed
- Python and SQL skills are a bonus
