Overview
An opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager for our Waitrose Bond Contract based out of Greenford. This position requires an experienced individual with the drive, agility and energy to develop the contract to deliver a best-in-class solution, with a focus on operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The role of the Operations Manager is to design, lead, and motivate the contractual teams while providing visible leadership and first point of contact for customer engagement
How will you contribute?
- Giving direction and monitoring performance that ensures the contract runs efficiently and effectively with direct responsibility for Warehouse Operations.
- Ensure effective communication throughout the operation by communicating planned requirements as well as providing information on performance, company news and procedures.
- Ensuring an effective people resourcing take-on plan to meet the growing and changing needs of the customer.
- Proactively motivating the team to achieve planned targets and deadlines by providing guidance and encouragement.
- Ensure contract operates in line with all company and customer procedures and requirements relating to Health and Safety.
- Ensure the operation operates all systems to the mutual benefit of the customer and the company.
- Proactively develop the team to achieve a best-in-class standard with a focus on operational excellence.
- Support and drive the colleague engagement agenda along with the site’s community programmes.
What will you bring?
- You must be able to demonstrate management experience in a high volume fulfilment operation or a wide-range of experience in warehousing and transport operations at the appropriate level and scope.
- You will have experience of working closely with customers and developing effective working relationships alongside long-term strategic partnerships.
- You should have excellent inter-personal skills be able to communicate at all levels professionally and discreetly.
- You must have a proven track record of developing and guiding a team to deliver an excellent service. t.
- You should be working at a senior level whereby you have a willingness to learn, and you will be looking to develop your career inline with the growth of the contract.
- You should have good commercial awareness and an inquisitive nature.
