Purpose of Role:
To develop an Operations strategy and to build and manage a team that will deliver and where possible exceed all targets set through budgets and KPI’s. Direct team to deliver improvement plans within all areas of control to ensure full customer satisfaction.
Key-Result areas/ assessment areas:
- Level of achievement of all budgetary targets and standards.
- Improvement in Customer service levels to remain at or above target.
- H&S and quality performance against standards and KPI’s.
- Successful implementation and continuation of a planned preventative maintenance program.
- Development and skill levels of Operations Team.
- Successful involvement and completion of projects.
Key Objectives:
- Realisation of the production plan in line with the sales forecast.
- Realisation of Quality systems and strategy to ensure compliance with all customer requirements and legislation.
- To deliver with the maintenance team the desired levels of plant performance with the budget levels.
- Create a culture of continuous improvement.
- Establish low unit cost production.
- Successful completion of all technical projects.
Experience:
- Degree qualified in a Business of Food discipline.
- 10 years experience in a range of (senior) operations/production roles within FMCG / food industry.
- Proven commitment to H&S with either a IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
- Project management or change management experience within a unionized environment.
- Proven management and team building experience, able to motivate and lead large teams.
- Experience of setting managing and controlling budgets and KPI’s.
- Demonstrable understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices and management techniques.
- Knowledge and experience of ISO, EFSIS and customer driven quality requirements and systems.

Salary: £70,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
