About the role
Operating in a prestigious corporate environment within a large Broadcasting Company based in London, where employee wellbeing is a key part of daily life. This crucial role is suitable for an experienced Operations Manager ideally within the leisure industry who will be responsible for the day to day management of the Active Space operations. They will need to be confident, outgoing and capable of promoting the services to individuals and relevant stakeholders. They will work closely the General Manager as part of a highly energised team, who will be responsible for maintaining health and safety standards, managing the Colleague Service Team and assist with the development of new services whilst maintaining consistent customer service levels.
The offering includes 6 Active Spaces, hair & beauty salon, sports shop amongst other onsite services and is a Monday to Friday role only.
The role has a strong operational side to it and therefore the successful candidate should be willing and able to complete various tasks on a daily basis. The successful candidate will also have exemplary member service skills and increase user satisfaction and Active Space safety by ensuring that the facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Train, mentor and support the team and conduct performance management, setting appropriate targets as necessary
· Co-ordinate staff resources effectively and work collaboratively with other Heads of departments to ensure the operations consistently meet the requirements of the clients and members
· Recruit, induct, coach and support the operational team across all locations
· Provide outstanding levels of customer services as per the Westfield Health way whilst ensuring that all operational staff meeting the same standard
· Build strong relationships with key partners, suppliers and internal stakeholders
· Meet or succeed agreed targets, SLA’s & KPI’s
· Assist with the development and implementation of new service improvement initiatives, ensuring buy in and adoption from the team
· Responsible for H & S within the facilities; creating procedures, prepare reports, provide training, liaise with internal/external stakeholders regarding facility management
· Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant industry legislation, guidance and good proactive relating to all areas of the facility
· Identify areas of growth within the operations and the wider business
· Some travel to sites will be expected
Skills and Values

Education and Qualifications Required:
Essential:
· NVQ level 2 or above / 3A levels at grade A-C or equivalent proven experience
Desired:
· NEBOSH, IOSH, CMIOSH or any health and safety related qualification
· Ideally experience working within the leisure industry but candidates with significant experience from other customer facing industries will be considered
· Fitness or health related qualifications
Experience
Desired:
- Health Club Operations or Corporate Wellbeing background with a focus on Health & Safety
- Multi-site or remote management experience
Skills
Required:
- Self-motivated, proactive with excellent leadership and people management skills
- Ability to project plan, manage timelines and budgets
- Be up to date with H & S practices
- Ability to maintain a high standard of accuracy and detail oriented
- Clear concise written, verbal, and visual communication skills
- Be comfortable handling pressure, high demands, and multi-tasking
- Able to build excellent stakeholder relationships with all levels of seniority, and always ensure open lines of communication
