Job description
We are a small company seeking a Warehouse Assistant to join our team. The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for a variety of tasks such as picking, packing, and dispatching orders, preparing kits for terrariums, managing stock, and ensuring the warehouse is clean and organised. The successful candidate will work closely with the team and have the opportunity to grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick, pack, and dispatch orders accurately and efficiently
- Prepare various kits for terrariums, including manual work such as putting soil into bags
- Manage stock, including watering and care of plants
- Check and maintain incoming stock, sort and place items on shelves
- Inspect products for defects and damages and report them to the Manager
- Ensure the warehouse is kept tidy and organised
- Any other ad hoc duties as requested by the management
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of houseplants or terrariums is not required, but willingness to learn is necessary
- Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Physically fit and able to lift and move boxes
- Good communication skills
Please note there is a small DOG in the studio.
Working hours: 08:00 am - 05:00 pm
Salary £22350 per annum. It will increase to £23600 per annum after the probation period.
